Connected User: What Is It?
A few days ago, a new feature became available in aclipp: Connected User. We developed and integrated this feature based on feedback from various customers. Some of you might now be wondering: What exactly is it? How can this feature be used effectively? Why can't I find the feature in the app?
I want to answer all these questions here and show you what you can do with the new feature - let's go:
What Exactly Are Connected Users?
This is a feature that allows you to link your aclipp account with others. You can easily and quickly switch between accounts using a dropdown menu to add clippings or create reports. This way, you don't have to repeatedly log in and out. This feature will soon be available for the Chrome Extension as well, so you can switch between all relevant accounts while clipping.
NOTE: Accounts should not be confused with clients. Typically, an agency only has one account. In this account, all PR managers have a profile. Additionally, all your clients are set up in the agency account, clippings are uploaded, and reports are created. This remains the same 😊
So, why would you need a Connected User?!
How Can the Feature Be Used Effectively?
In specific cases, setting up a Connected User can save your agency a lot of time and effort.
For example, if your client also wants access to the aclipp account. They could always keep an eye on the PR work developments through the dashboard or create reports themselves if needed. In such a case, it's better to create a separate account for this client. If the client had a profile within your PR agency's account, they would also have access to the data of all other clients you have set up in aclipp. If your agency now has one or more of such individual client accounts, you can easily switch between all these using the Connected User feature and thus keep track of your work's success.
Additionally, if one of your clients is managed by multiple PR agencies, this feature offers significant advantages. Each of the relevant PR agencies can create its own account and add employees. Furthermore, an account is created for the client being managed. Then, all commissioned PR agencies get access to the company's account via the Connected User functionality and can independently record clippings and create reports. This greatly facilitates collaboration.
Where & How Can I Set Up Connected Users?
The diligent aclipp experts among you have probably already noticed that the feature cannot be found in the software. This is because we set up the Connected Users for you. This way, you can start using aclipp immediately without worrying about various settings.
In some cases, this functionality can save even more effort and time and generate even greater added value for your clients 🚀
Interested and want to use Connected Users in the future? We are happy to advise you on our new feature! 😊
