Projects are where everything in aclipp comes together. Each project is your central space to collect clippings, set up metrics, and customize the look and feel of your reports. By tailoring your project to your brand or client, you lay the foundation for meaningful insights and professional, automated reporting.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through creating your very first project — from naming it and setting up your design, to defining custom metrics, tags, and integrations. With the right setup, every clipping you add will instantly contribute to smarter analysis and better reporting.
Create your first project
1. Name your project
- You can already begin adding clippings — but we recommend spending a moment on the project settings first.
2. Customize your project settings
- Upload a logo and cover image.
- Define your brand color. 👉 These choices shape the look of your reports.
3. Define your metrics
- Start with our preset list of the most common PR metrics.
- Or create custom ones tailored to your communication goals.
- Just enter a name and description (our AI will help autofill).
- Choose the type — short text, number, dropdown, slider, formula, and more.
- Assign metrics to the channels that matter to you. 👉 Metrics are added to each clipping and form the foundation of your insights, reports, and analytics.
4. Organize with tags
- Add tags with names and descriptions (again, AI assists here).
- Use multiple tags per clipping. 👉 They’re perfect for filtering and show up in reports and analytics.
5. Connect your data
- Add clippings manually or connect via our API and integrations.
